Christian the lion was merely a small cub when he was discovered by two Australians in a london department store in 1969.
John Rendall and Anthony Bourke decided to bring the cub back to there house in london and raise him.
As time went on, it was clear that Christian was starting to get too big for there living quarters.
After only a year, Rendall and Bourke decided to release Christian into the wild in Kenya, Africa.
In 1972, Rendall and Bourke decided they wanted to go find Christian in the African plain's despite being told that he was now wild and were recommended not to go. They did however, go find Christian anyways accompanied by a man named George Adamson. After a few days of searching, Christian was found and greeted the two men as if he had never been set free.
